How close to campus is Victorian Village?
The apartment complex is about four blocks from campus.
Remember, we offer the free shuttle bus to
and from campus during the school year.
Is Victorian Village located in a safe part of the
city?
The complex is in a clean and safe area. Our close neighbors
include a car wash, daycare center, WIC office, Annunciation Church,
and its rectory. All of the neighbors like the college students.
Is there a lease?
Yes, the lease covers one school year. Leases for a single
semester are reserved for students that are current residents, who graduate
in December.
What if I drop out of school? Can I get out of my
contract?
You'll have to find another student to sublet your place
in the apartment.
What if I don't get along with my roommates?
Before a problem gets out of hand, come talk to our manager.
We're willing to resolve disputes or switch apartments with other students.
This is even detailed in the lease.
Is there off-street parking available?
Yes, we have a large off-street parking area.
How close is the nearest grocery store?
The Weis store is located directly behind the apartment
complex, easily within walking distance. Also, Wegmans is a short drive
away on Hepburn Street.
Are the apartments at Victorian Village quiet?
Our students agree that the apartment complex is a great
place to study. Our guidelines are not quite as strict as the on-campus
housing, but we don't permit parties or behavior that bothers other students.
Can I have guests stay overnight?
We allow five overnight guests per month, but we require
you to get a guest pass from us.
What if something in my apartment breaks?
We have a maintenance staff on call 24 hours a day, 7
days a week. They can usually be there within half an hour, and they're
trained to handle any problem.
Can I keep a pet in the room?
Fish and hamsters are fine, but we don't allow cats, dogs,
or snakes in the apartments.
How do I get my mail? Can I receive packages?
Some of the mail is delivered to the office or the rec
center. A few of the buildings have individual mailboxes, and in some
cases, the mail is delivered right to the room. All UPS, FedEx, and postal
service packages are delivered to the office.
What is the average cost of telephone service?
The phone company charges about $17 per month for unlimited
local calling.
Are there laundry facilities available?
Yes, we have coin-operated washers and dryers available
for our students. |
